| Until the 80s of the 19. century, the de Boors and their relatives live in Hamburg. The knowledge acquired at university and marriage to daughters of influential senators soon enables the family's move into the upper middle class. Among them are lawyers, teachers, civil servants and even painters. Helped by the start of new educational institutions and improved modes of travel, other cities, from Frankfurt via Berlin to Breslau, become their home towns. |
