On 21.03.1739, he signs an employment contract as tenant and sock fuller at the fulling mill in Kinzing. Also signing this document, as guarantors, are Isaac Donne, Johann Piersene and Jean Braconnie, related to Max Braconnie who, a fellow Walloon and weaver of linens, assisted the father decades earlier, but could not prevent the forced sale of the Hanau fulling mill in the Haingasse when it was owned by the father.
